The new IP65-certified Fieldbook A2 is al Rugged Dual-Core tablet with Atom processor and Windows 7 Professional. The rugged magnesium alloy housing protects the tablet against water, dust and harsh elements. The compact design fits perfectly in the land. When using the rugged Fieldbook A2 on an boat, salt fog doesn't harm the unit.
The rugged Fieldbook A2 can be used in direct sunlight, the 7 inch display includes a polarizer and provides a clear readable image in direct sunlight. The built-in amient light sensor helps you to save energy by automaticly adjusting the brightness.
The 5200mAh battery pack keeps the rugged Fieldbook A2 running for up to 8 hours, because the Fieldbook A2 is supplied with an dual-battery pack you can hot-swap between the batteries without turning off the Fieldbook A2. The new rugged Fieldbook A2 is fitted with an new Dual-Core Atom processor, this processor makes the Fieldbook A2 up to 3 times more powerful than the previous generation, without consuming more energy. It also supports the faster DDR3 memory.
The rugged IP65-certified Fieldbook A2 has an 5 MP camera, the integrated GPS chip provides geo-tagging so you can always see where the phone has been taken. The camera also has an LED flash so you can still take pictures in poor lighting conditions.
The rugged Fieldbook A2 is running on Windows 7 Professional, which can take full use of the 2GB memory. For storage the Fieldbook A2 has an 64GB SSD, optionally you can choose forr an 128GB SSD.
Optionally, you can choose for an barcode scanner so you can scan barcodes. The barcode scanner has an angle of 38.9 (horizontal) and 25.4 (vertical). The range is 3.4-83cm. Also optionally is an RFID reader so you can scan RFID tags, it supports ISO 15693 and the range is 2 cm.
The new rugged Fieldbook A2 has multiple expansion slots, one of them is an SD/SDHC slot for an memory card. For communication you can plug-in an LAN cable in the 1GBPS Ethernet port, or use the built-in WiFi adapter. (supports WiFi a/b/g/n) The Fieldbook A2 also has an Bluetooth 4.0 class 1 chip.
