Sierra Wireless is proud to introduce the AirLink Helix RT, our first enterprise-class 3G router. The Helix RT is a complete networking solution embedded with HSUPA or EV-DO Rev. A. Equipped with two high-speed Ethernet ports, USB, optional Wi-Fi access point and automatic WAN failover, the Helix RT is a single-device solution for easily deploying enterprise-grade networks with cellular WAN connectivity. The device also supports a fully IPsec compliant onboard VPN, providing a secure tunnel from the Helix RT router back to any compatible enterprise network.

Wireless router solutions are typically complex and difficult for customers to deploy and manage. By leveraging ALEOS intelligence on a routing platform, Helix RT offers a high degree of functionality and capability, that is simple to install, configure, manage and use.

Comprehensive Remote Management
Tightly integrated with ALEOS, ACEWare simplifies device setup, provisioning and control. Helix RT is the first Sierra Wireless device to launch with ACEware 4.0, our suite of management platforms.

ACEmanager™ is now embedded in ALEOS and simpler to use and deploy with a browser-based user interface. Zero-download installation enables customers to get started very quickly and easily. ACEmanager enables customers to locally or remotely configure hundreds of parameters, including network and router settings.

ACEnet™ Services edition is a securely hosted version of our field-proven remote management platform. With ACEnet Services, customers no longer need to incur the time and expense of setting up or hosting a remote management solution. Furthermore, Helix RT customers can quickly launch single units or hundreds, and deployments can easily scale with customer requirements. Comprehensive remote management not only greatly simplifies deployment; it also drastically reduces the total cost of ownership by virtually eliminating field visits for device management

Primary and Backup Connectivity
The AirLink Helix RT can provide a primary or back-up connection for remote and field office locations. With a configurable WAN/LAN port and a built-in connection failover feature the Helix RT senses when the wireline connection fails and automatically switches to the 3G wireless network. Meanwhile, ALEOS continuously monitors wireline network health and automatically reverts back to the primary connection when service is restored. This intelligence enables the Helix to serve as a critical backup for businesses that rely on high-availability real-time transaction processing, security monitoring, or online customer service functions.

Field Equipment
The AirLink Helix RT is an ideal solution for clusters of remote devices (e.g. ATMs, digital signs, surveillance cameras) requiring a secure, reliable 3G connection. Multiple connection options (Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi), and robust routing functionality enable customers to manage multiple assets with a one-box solution. Durable construction ensures the Helix RT can be deployed in environments where traditional consumer-grade routers and access points are not a suitable solution.
